Customer Lifecycle Solutions

Build Customer Self-Service

When you build customer self-service, the content matters more than the software. We turn scattered FAQs, manuals and ticket replies into a searchable help centre and AI assistant, so customers find answers quickly and your team stops typing the same responses.

What you can expect to move

  • Retention rate
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Repeat purchase rate
  • Support cost per ticket
The problem

Why “build customer self-service” rarely happens with one channel

Self-service usually disappoints because the knowledge behind it is out of date. Articles were written once for launch, product changes never made it in, and search only matches exact words, so a customer typing 'money not received' never finds the article titled 'Refund timelines'. Portals add another problem: if customers cannot see their own invoices, warranty status or open tickets, they still have to call.

We audit your existing articles against real ticket topics and fill the gaps first. Then we set up the help centre or portal, add AI search that answers from your approved documents with links to the source, and connect it to your CRM or ERP for account-specific data. Every failed search is logged, which gives your team a running list of articles to write. The result is a knowledge base with a named owner and a simple routine for keeping it current.

How Nians approaches it

We find the constraint first, then put the right specialist services under one plan and one owner, so every change is measured against the same outcome.

FAQ

Questions we often hear

Straight answers to the things clients ask us most. If yours isn’t here, just ask.

What is the difference between a knowledge base and an AI chatbot?
A knowledge base is the library of answers; a chatbot is one way of serving them. An AI assistant built on a weak knowledge base will give weak or invented answers. We fix the content first, then let the AI search and summarise it, always citing the article it used.
How do we know if customers are using self-service?
Track searches, searches with no result, article views followed by a ticket, and ticket volume on topics that already have articles. If tickets on a topic do not fall after an article goes live, the article is unclear or hard to find. We set up these reports as part of the build.
How quickly can you help us build customer self-service?
Quick wins usually go live in the first month, and the bigger structural changes land over the following two. You see the plan and milestones before we start.
Do we need all the services in the bundle?
Not always. The diagnosis tells us which ones matter for you. Some clients start with two, others with the full bundle.
Can you work with our in-house team?
Yes. We often lead strategy and specialist execution while your team owns brand, approvals and day-to-day channels.
