dashboard for every brand

Pharma marketing dashboard that gave every brand team the same numbers

A single pharma marketing dashboard now serves every brand team at this pharmaceutical company, which used to report different numbers from different tools. One agreed measurement plan, rebuilt consent-aware tracking and Power BI cut time spent on monthly reporting by 80%.

Illustrative example. Client details are anonymised and representative of the work we do.

The challenge

Where they started

Each brand team reported different numbers from different tools, so leadership could not compare performance.

The approach

What we changed

We agreed one measurement plan, rebuilt tracking with consent controls and created a Power BI dashboard used by every brand team.

Lessons

What other businesses can take from this

Large companies with several brands often let each brand team pick its own agency and tools. Each one defines a lead, a visit or an engagement slightly differently, so the numbers cannot be compared. Leadership then judges performance on presentation rather than evidence, and in a regulated sector, tracking set up without consent controls adds compliance risk.

The useful lesson is that the dashboard comes last. Agreeing one measurement plan, with shared definitions, is the hard part and the part that makes comparison fair. Rebuilding tracking with consent controls means the data can be used with confidence, and every campaign is now tracked the same way. Power BI simply shows the result.

Worth doing in any multi-brand business where reporting meetings turn into arguments about whose number is right.

The results

What moved

1shared dashboard for all brands
−80%time spent on monthly reporting
