Reposition or Rebrand a Business

When you reposition or rebrand a business, the risk is losing the trust and recognition you have already built. We start with why the change is needed, then plan the strategy, new identity and rollout so customers follow you across.

What you can expect to move

  • Brand recall
  • Creative CTR
  • Consideration
  • Share of voice
The problem

Why “reposition or rebrand a business” rarely happens with one channel

Rebrands go wrong when they start with a new logo instead of a reason. Common triggers are valid: the business has moved upmarket, merged, entered new markets or outgrown its name. But without research, the new brand can confuse existing customers, upset employees, break SEO and cost more than expected in signage, packaging and documents.

We begin with research: customer and staff interviews, competitor positioning and an honest look at current brand perception. That shapes a decision on how much to change, from a refined position to a full rename. Then we develop positioning, messaging and identity, test them with customers, and plan the rollout: internal launch first, website migration with redirects, customer communication, legal and trademark checks, and a phased asset update.

Sometimes repositioning the message is enough, without changing the name or logo at all.

FAQ

Questions we often hear

Straight answers to the things clients ask us most. If yours isn’t here, just ask.

Still have a question?Talk to a strategist. We usually reply within one working day.Ask us directly
How do we know if we need a rebrand or just a refresh?
If your positioning and audience have changed substantially, or the name limits growth or causes confusion, a rebrand may be needed. If the strategy is still right but visuals look dated or inconsistent, a refresh is usually enough and far less risky.
Will rebranding hurt our search rankings?
It can if the domain or URLs change without planning. Keep redirects from old to new URLs, update listings and profiles, announce the change, and keep the old brand name mentioned on the site for a while. Brand searches for the old name decline gradually.
How quickly can you help us reposition or rebrand a business?
Quick wins usually go live in the first month, and the bigger structural changes land over the following two. You see the plan and milestones before we start.
Do we need all the services in the bundle?
Not always. The diagnosis tells us which ones matter for you. Some clients start with two, others with the full bundle.
Can you work with our in-house team?
Yes. We often lead strategy and specialist execution while your team owns brand, approvals and day-to-day channels.
